DRAGONFIRE EVENTS MANAGEMENT is a Dubai-based team building company specializing in Dragon Boating and other outdoor corporate team building events.
Our commitment is to creating engaging, energizing, and memorable events all conducted in a beautiful outdoor setting.
At the core of our events is Dragon Boating, our signature program and a unique team-building opportunity. Dragon Boating is an ultimate team sport and a powerful way to get your team "onboard," working together towards a shared goal. This program is offered exclusively at our home venue, the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai.
In addition to our Dragon Boating program (or for those who prefer to stay closer to the shore), we have our three other exciting outdoor team building programs: our Mini Beach Olympics Tournament, our bespoke Treasure Hunt Race and our exciting Build-A-Boat Challenge, all designed to entertain, inspire, and strengthen collaboration.
Our programs are not only fun but also carefully designed with key business outcomes in mind: enhancing communication, building trust, developing problem-solving skills, and fostering cooperation.
Each event is tailored to your needs, whether you're looking for a single energizing activity or a full-day program combining several experiences.
From planning to execution, DragonFire will ensure every detail of your event is overseen for a seamless and stress-free experience. In addition, we coordinate with the Sheraton's Food and Beverage team on your behalf, or connect you can directly with their banquet services.

THE TEAM
Melissa O'Brien
Managing Director
Melissa is a seasoned events professional with a proven track record in Dubai, having successfully owned and operated two event entertainment companies before founding DragonFire in 2024. With her extensive knowledge of the local market, she brings invaluable expertise to every project. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and hands-on approach, Melissa ensures each team-building event runs seamlessly from conception through to completion.
Beyond her professional expertise, Melissa is passionate about Dragon Boating. Over the years, Melissa has witnessed firsthand the powerful team-building benefits it delivers to DragonFire’s clients. An active paddler and coach for a Dubai-based women’s competitive dragon boat team, she regularly competes both locally and internationally – bringing authenticity, energy and insight into every DragonFire experience.
Rachael Sosensky
Business Manager
Rachael is an experienced events professional and the Business Manager at DragonFire Event Management, overseeing the planning and delivery of corporate and experiential events across the UAE. With nearly a decade of industry experience in Dubai, Toronto and international markets, she brings a strong foundation in creative direction, operations and client servicing.
Known for her hands-on leadership style and meticulous approach, Rachael ensures every event runs seamlessly from brief to execution. Her expertise spans logistics, vendor management and event coordination, supporting end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects.
With a background in Creative Industries and hospitality, and prior roles at leading events companies in Dubai and Canada, Rachael plays a key role in driving DragonFire’s growth and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Carrie Dodd
Events Manager
Carrie is an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Events Manager with 8 years of proven success delivering exceptional MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events across the United Arab Emirates. Specialized in end-to-end project management for corporate, governmental, and international clients, with a strong track record of executing high-impact events that align with strategic business goals and enhance brand positioning.
Before joining DragonFire, Carrie built her career in retail, where she saw firsthand that a motivated team drives successful results. This experience shaped her people-first approach, making team motivation her top priority.”
